Find the Girl
Client: BBC Three | 2016 | Interactive Story
In the run up to BBC Three going online, my digital guerrilla’s team were asked to create a memorable digital experience around their lead drama – Thirteen. Having produced cross-media narrative experiences for PlayStation (and their release Heavy Rain), I brought the same thinking to bear on this challenge.
What was amazing about this experience was the chance to work with the writer of the show and the production. This meant our digital world was completely aligned with the show.
The experience itself played out in real-time, mostly on social media, using a character we created called Sarah. She was also investigating the disappearance of the missing girl in the show. Through vlogs, blogs and tweets she helped guide the viewer.
As well as these assets, Sarah using digital tools and hacked into fake websites, all created by my team. It’s fair to say that it created a huge buzz around the show as it aired via iPlayer and help give BBC Three much needed digital credibility.
My contribution: The approach, along with creative direction across the whole project including the video shoot, and directing supporting marketing materials.

This is the best way to appreciate the breadth and depth of the material we produced and the amazing experience we delivered.
